Las Vegas, NV Job Details Part-time 17 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification Certified Surgical Technologist Full Job Description Position Summary Advanced Surgical Center, a growing 3-room ambulatory surgery center in Las Vegas , is seeking a dependable and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team on a per diem/PRN basis . The Surgical Technologist will play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care throughout the perioperative process. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures, including equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterile fields Perform surgical scrub and maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures Assist with surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, draping, and other surgical preparation as directed Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, sharps, and other supplies in accordance with facility policy Maintain a safe and organized sterile field throughout surgical procedures Assist with room turnover, cleaning, restocking, and preparation for subsequent cases Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly handled, cleaned, and transported for sterilization Verify availability and functionality of surgical equipment, supplies, and implants prior to procedures Assist with specimen handling, identification, labeling, and transfer according to facility policy Support pre-operative and post-operative workflows as needed Follow infection prevention, OSHA, HIPAA, and patient safety standards at all times Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and supplies Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the surgical team Provide professional, respectful, and compassionate care to patients while maintaining patient privacy and dignity Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned Qualifications Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required Current BLS certification required Minimum of one (1) year of surgical technologist experience preferred Ambulatory surgery center, outpatient, or procedural experience strongly preferred Experience with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, surgical counts, and room turnover Strong knowledge of infection prevention and sterile processing principles Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team Additional Information Per diem/PRN position with scheduling based on case volume and staffing needs Supporting a 3-room ambulatory surgery center No nights, weekends, or major holidays Opportunity to work closely with a collaborative, patient-focused surgical team Competitive PRN compensation based on experience and qualifications Ideal opportunity for an experienced CST seeking a flexible outpatient surgical schedule
