Qualifications:

NBSTSA Certification required, or 10+ years' experience as a Surgical Technician Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac OR Competent to scrub and circulate BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures Maintain a sterile environment, ensure safe handling of sharps, and perform surgical counts in accordance with hospital protocols Assist the surgical team from the scrub position during operations Support with room turnover between cases Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under the direction of RN staff
