Recent operating room experience is required. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and operate job-related equipment is necessary. Recommended skills include knowledge of AORN guidelines, infection control, surgical hand scrubs, teamwork, and adaptability to changing needs. Strong communication and organizational skills are important for success in surgical technology.
