Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgery Set up surgical instruments and equipment Assist the surgical team during procedures Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures Monitor and record patient vital signs Collect and document data for medical records Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures Familiarity with infection control systems Proficiency in basic life support techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience in data collection and recording vital signs Prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred
