Job Description

Company Overview Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of NY has been providing specialized outpatient surgical services since 2008. As an Article 28 facility accredited by the Joint Commission, we are committed to delivering high-quality care in a state-of-the-art environment. Our surgery center only does eye procedures including cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgery. Summary We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team at the Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of NY. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care. Eye experience is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies. Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures. Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient operation of the surgery center. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in surgical technology. Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is preferred. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or similar setting is a plus.
Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
