Specializing in gynecology and fertility, we are seeking a high energy and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist with the ability to provide exceptional, and personalized care, in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Our goal is to find innovative and dedicated professionals to join our expert surgical/fertility team. Operative procedures include a wide range of gynecological surgeries such as Laparoscopies, Laparoscopic Myomectomies, Cystectomies, Hysteroscopies, Dilation and Curettages.
Surgical Technologist Duties:
- Preparation and maintenance of Operating Rooms for Laparoscopies, Hysteroscopies, Dilation and Curettage surgical procedures
- Scrub in surgery cases - assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
- Checks the working order and safety of the instruments and equipment.
- Assists in operating and ensuring maintenance of on-site sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Responsible for the day-to-day assurance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.
- Works along with the nurse manager to ensure all charge masters are complete and accurate for their case.
- Ensures that the count sheet and preference cards are signed in the patient's chart for their case.
- Ensures the Operating Rooms are fully stocked and that the expiration date of supplies has been checked.
- Participates in the surveillance for the Quality Control Committee.
Qualifications:
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
