MidWest Eye Center has a complete roster of board-certified Ophthalmologists, Retina Specialists and Optometrists, offering diagnosis along with surgical and non-surgical treatment for eye diseases MidWest Eye Center's Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky locations are easily accessible from the surrounding Tri-state area.
Position Summary:
We are now hiring a PRN Surgical Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards. The primary location for this position is our Kenwood ASC; however, travel to our Eastgate ASC may be occassionally required to meet staffing demands.
PRN status:
This position serves as a supplemental team member and provides coverage as needed. PRN employees are scheduled based on organizational needs and staffing requirements, with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
Responsibilities:
Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director Performing other duties as required
Qualifications:
0-3 years of experience Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
