A Surgical Technician or Technologist assists with surgical operations. Prepares the operating room and equipment before a procedure, and helps surgeons and nurses during the procedure. Works in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

Position Summary:
Performs various duties in the operating room. Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services. Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services. Orients employees to equipment and procedures. Serves as a role model to other operation room technicians and students. Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology. Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
