Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your healthcare career in a dynamic surgical setting with this exciting 13-week opportunity for a skilled operating room professional. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting cutting-edge surgical care, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and surgical teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday) On-call required at least 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and/or proven ability as an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience in the operating room
Key Responsibilities:
Support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields according to protocol Provide direct assistance during a wide variety of procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to sterile technique Anticipate surgeon and team needs to ensure case efficiency and optimal patient care Safely manage surgical specimens and count instruments/sponges rigorously Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation
