Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting high-quality care by applying your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist with current BLS certification. This contract position offers hands-on experience in surgical environments, providing support at leading outpatient surgery centers within a respected health system.

Schedule:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm shifts 13-week contract duration Rotating assignments across outpatient surgery settings
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Minimum of BLS certification required and active Prior experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT) and assisting within surgical teams Proven ability to support surgeons and nursing teams in a dynamic surgical environment Flexibility to float between centers within the health system as required Attention to detail with adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile Assist medical and nursing staff during surgical procedures by handling instruments, sponges, sutures, and related items Maintain strict aseptic and sterile conditions throughout all procedures Collaborate with RNs and physicians to provide exceptional patient care and surgical support Adhere to established protocols, safety guidelines, and best practices to maximize patient safety and optimal outcomes Communicate clearly with the surgical team and provide input as needed throughout procedures Seize this unique contract role to expand your surgical tech experience while working with dedicated professionals in outpatient surgery centers.
