Job Description

The Surgical Scrub Technologist performs direct patient care activities; assisting in patient preparation for surgery/procedure; performs tasks related to the procedure; and assists in maintaining a clean, organized and prepared work environment. Needs to have a working knowledge of all operating/procedure room equipment, including emergency equipment used in Code situations. Must maintain a working knowledge of surgical instruments used by the surgeons in the center, along with the care, maintenance and knowledge of various sterilization techniques used in the processing of the instrumentation. Our facility is focused on ophthalmology and currently operates Monday-Thursday (12-20 hours/week). Required High school diploma or GED certification Completion of surgical scrub technician course or LPN Operating room experience Strong ethical and moral character references CPR Preferred Two years' previous operating room experience ASC experience
