Job Purpose:

The Surgical Tech at SPC LLC will play a critical role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the surgical environment is safe, sterile, and well-organized, facilitating efficient and successful operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are available and functioning properly. Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during operations, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols and procedures. Perform pre-operative and post-operative duties, including sterilizing equipment and maintaining inventory of surgical supplies. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations related to surgical operations. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operation of the surgical suite.

Required Education:

Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical center setting. Demonstrated experience in assisting with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedics, and obstetrics.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in sterile techniques and knowledge of surgical instrumentation. Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the surgical environment is prepared and maintained according to the highest standards. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Capability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the dynamic environment of the operating room.
