Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) with emphasis on cardiovascular procedures. Previous experience in a CVOR setting is highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of sterile technique and instrumentation. Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, procedures, and safety measures. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills. Adaptability to new surroundings and willingness to support team needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and the OR team during cardiovascular procedures. Prepare, maintain, and verify sterile fields and surgical instruments. Ensure seamless workflow by anticipating surgical needs. Adhere to strict infection control standards and facility safety protocols. Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes. Demonstrate quick thinking and flexibility in high-acuity situations.
