Day Shift Description:
Under the supervision of an Operating Room Registered Nurse, assists in providing nursing care to a designated population in collaboration with the members of the health care team. •$5,000 Sign-On Bonus with a 2-year commitment. The Surgical Technician / Operating (OR) Tech (uncertified, certified, unlicensed, or licensed) works in a collaborative environment at St Mary within Surgical Services to provide safe, quality health care services & / or assistance to patients under the supervision & direction of a registered nurse or other designated health care professional in accordance with level of experience, education, policies & procedures. Must have additional training through the achievement of in-house certifications or have successful completion of role specific certification or licensing.

Part Time Days; Saturday & Sunday Certification required Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe & therapeutic environment. Engages in therapeutic communication and assists nurses & designated health care professional in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team & working with patients & families. May serve as a resource (lead), role model & / or mentor.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Currently enrolled in high school, completing a GED, or obtained a high school diploma or GED. Specialty license, certification, training, or experience according to assignment area in the applicable state(s) of engagement.
