Key Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program Current certification as a CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred At least one year of recent experience in a cardiovascular operating room Proficient in cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique Strong understanding of aseptic principles and infection control practices Excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare the cardiovascular operating room including equipment setup and sterile field arrangement Assist surgeons by providing necessary instruments and supplies during procedures Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout surgeries Ensure a safe, sterile surgical environment and uphold infection prevention standards Respond promptly and competently to the evolving needs of the surgical team during cases Support the perioperative team with room turnover and post-procedure cleanup This position provides unique exposure to complex cardiovascular procedures and the chance to develop advanced technical skills.
