2 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a busy Outpatient Surgery Center in State College, PA . This is a Monday-Friday day shift position with no weekends, no call, and no 10

Requirements Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (Required) Recent Operating Room experience in an outpatient or hospital setting Strong knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic practices Experience assisting in multiple surgical specialties preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, and surgical equipment. Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Perform surgical hand scrubbing, gowning, and gloving according to facility standards. Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and sterile draping. Anticipate surgeons' needs by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies efficiently. Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse. Identify medications and sterile solutions by name, dosage, and expiration date with the RN. Maintain, inspect, and prepare surgical instruments and specialty equipment. Assist with cleaning, sterilization, and processing of surgical instruments. Update surgeon preference cards and ensure all required supplies are available. Adhere to AORN standards, infection prevention guidelines, and Standard Precautions. Respond calmly and efficiently during emergency situations while maintaining patient safety. Preferred Experience General Surgery Orthopaedics ENT Gastroenterology Gynecology Ophthalmology Urology Plastic Surgery Endoscopy or other outpatient surgical specialties

Pay:

$2,200.00
