Qualifications:

Active certification as a Surgical Technologist, or Nursing

•ORT credentials Demonstrated experience in an operating room setting Comprehensive knowledge of surgical equipment, instrument sterilization, and aseptic techniques Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively under pressure Strong communication and teamwork skills Current BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and available Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery Monitor for and help prevent infection or contamination Support patient care by maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout each case Adhere to safety guidelines and hospital protocols
