Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic operating room environment where your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist or ORT Nurse will directly support surgical excellence and positive patient outcomes. Qualifications & Experience:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Nursing - ORT credentials required Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile fields Current BLS certification strongly preferred Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control standards Ability to remain composed and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting Strong communication and teamwork skills
What You'll Do:
Prepare operating rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and set up Assist surgeons, nurses, and other team members during operations, anticipating needs and passing instruments as required Maintain an organized and sterile environment throughout each procedure, ensuring patient and staff safety Accurately account for instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after surgery Support preoperative and postoperative care through specimen handling, equipment maintenance, and accurate documentation Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and fellow techs to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care
