Your expertise will ensure that operating room is prepared and maintained with precision, fostering a safe and efficient environment for patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting contributing directly to positive patient outcomes through meticulous technical support and sterile technique adherence. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to aseptic techniques. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and handling specialized medical equipment with precision. Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, including medical records and intraoperative data collection. Support infection prevention protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical equipment sterilization processes, and adhering to healthcare infection control standards. Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technician from an accredited program; active state licensure or registration required. Hands-on experience with surgical instruments, medical equipment operation, and medical equipment sterilization techniques. Excellent analysis skills for assessing patient needs quickly and effectively during procedures; ability to work efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of aseptic technique principles to prevent healthcare-associated infections; commitment to infection control standards. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within hospital medicine environments; understanding of healthcare safety protocols.
