Navy Blue scrubs provided by the ASC Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to join our surgical services team. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub technician experience across multiple surgical specialties and be adept at supporting surgeons and clinical staff throughout the perioperative process. This role requires a thorough understanding of operating room procedures, instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical workflows to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for scheduled procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning properly. Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures and assist in promoting a safe surgical environment. Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical cases. Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs by providing instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner. Perform instrument counts in accordance with facility policies and patient safety standards. Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instrumentation and sterile fields before, during, and after procedures. Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements. Surgical Service Lines Supported Candidates should have experience in most of the following specialties: Orthopedic Joint Procedures Gynecology (GYN) Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) - Pediatric and Adult Plastic Surgery General Surgery Pain Management Interventional Radiology (Port Insertions) Required Qualifications Surgical Technician experience with proficiency in multiple surgical specialties. Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile processing principles, and operating room procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to patient safety and quality care. Certification Requirements Surgical Technician Certification required for individuals who completed their Surgical Technology program in 2018 or later. Candidates grandfathered under previous regulations may be considered without certification. Preferred Qualifications The following qualities will help candidates stand out: Experience scrubbing a broad range of surgical specialties. Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.
