1 Description American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years CVOR experience for a hospital position in Plano, TX. Details Hospital operating room setting within the CVOR specialty 5x8-hour PM shifts, Monday through Friday, 10:30am-7:00pm 13-week travel contract assignment Scrubs provided Requirements Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required BLS certification from the American Heart Association Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required; grandfathered candidates also accepted Active TX license required, if applicable Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection prevention, and sterilization standards Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with surgical and sterile processing teams Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted Additional Information Assist the surgical team during the inter-operative phase of patient care under RN supervision Prepare and maintain instrument tables and ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, instruments, and other items per policy Anticipate surgical team needs and pass sterile supplies and equipment during procedures Assist with patient positioning, draping, and specimen handling Clean and prepare the operating room and instrumentation following each case Follow AORN, OSHA, and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe environment Occasional exposure to chemical or radiation hazards Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers may be considered
