1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital General OR position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and Epic charting proficiency. Details Hospital General OR setting supporting General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedic, and Urology cases Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM 1:1 patient ratio May be required to float within the hospital based on patient care needs Epic charting system used Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required BLS certification required Active WA license required if applicable Epic charting experience required Experience with procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, colporrhaphy, tubal ligation, D&C, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, prostatectomy, and TURP Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, wound management, and Universal Protocol time out procedures Experience with cell saver equipment Additional Information Support surgical teams across general, gynecologic, orthopedic, and urologic procedures Participate in emergency management and fire safety protocols Assist with administration of blood and blood products as needed Complete facility orientation modules signed off by managers Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travelers Travel pairs accepted Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, must be disclosed at time of consideration
