$1,900 - $2,100/Weekly Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology, and sterile techniques, with experience supporting a variety of surgical specialties including trauma, cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pediatrics. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and success of surgical operations by preparing operating rooms, assisting surgeons, and maintaining strict infection control standards. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary materials efficiently and accurately. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological data during surgery to support anesthesia teams and ensure patient stability. Maintain comprehensive medical records related to surgical procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic. Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and maintained according to hospital infection prevention protocols. Support the setup and breakdown of surgical areas for various specialties including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, trauma care, and endoscopy. Demonstrate proficiency in handling specialized medical equipment operation and analysis skills for optimal performance. Adhere strictly to hospital policies on healthcare infection prevention and control practices to safeguard patient safety. Assist with treatment of fractures, trauma care procedures, and complex surgeries requiring advanced anatomy knowledge. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers to deliver critical care efficiently. Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Proven experience supporting surgeries within hospital medicine settings, including medical-surgical units and ambulatory surgery centers. Extensive knowledge of surgical instruments, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques. Experience assisting in cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, or trauma care preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or other Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation accuracy. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stakes environments such as ICU or critical care units with acute care experience. Strong analysis skills for monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to patient needs during procedures. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention protocols and treatment of fractures or trauma-related injuries. Ability to operate complex medical equipment safely while maintaining sterile fields throughout surgical procedures.
