1 Description American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technician with cardiovascular experience for a hospital operating room position in Wenatchee, WA. Details Hospital-based CVOR unit 4x10-hour AM/D/E shifts totaling 40 hours per week 30 minute meal break included in shift No on-call requirements May be required to float as a sitter a few times during the assignment Requirements CVOR experience required BLS certification Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required if applicable Additional Information Functions as a vital member of the OR team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical interventions Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN standards and facility policies Proficient in surgical procedures across a variety of services Demonstrates knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation Sets up and maintains sterile field alongside team members Prepares according to surgeon preference cards and procedure requirements Accurately performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times Properly identifies and saves specimens per department policy Reports and recognizes faulty equipment or unsafe conditions Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations
