1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic experience and multi-specialty surgical coverage capability for a hospital OR position. Details Work in a hospital operating room supporting a broad range of surgical specialties Caseload is approximately 75% orthopedic, including hand, foot, ankle, sports medicine, and total joint procedures Also covers General Surgery, Endoscopy, OB/GYN (including C-sections), ENT (including pediatric cases), Podiatry, Urology, and Robotics 8-hour day shifts from 0630-1515 Call coverage rotation of 6-7 shifts per six-week schedule for early morning hours (0315-0630) Late coverage rotation of 5-6 shifts per six-week schedule (approximately 1515-1730) Weekend call availability required Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist BLS certification required CST certification required License required if applicable Strong orthopedic surgical experience required, including hand, foot, ankle, sports medicine, and total joint cases Experience with General Surgery, Endoscopy, OB/GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, and Robotics preferred Additional Information Support surgical teams across a wide variety of specialties in a fast-paced OR environment Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for diverse surgical cases Assist with patient positioning, draping, and establishing sterile fields Participate in surgical site verification and time out procedures Perform instrument and sponge counts with the circulator Maintain a clean and safe operating room environment, including terminal cleaning responsibilities
