Surgical Technology Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcome of each surgery.Duties:
- Prepare the operating room by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies during procedures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infection
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operations
- Assist with patient positioning and draping
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Assist with turning over the room.
- Assist with cleaning and sterilization of equipment.
- Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available for upcoming cases.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures
- Proficiency in using surgical instruments and equipment
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
