1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular and trauma surgery experience for a position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital Details Work in a CVOR unit within a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital Trauma Level II facility, with Trauma Level I experience preferred Perform procedures across cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery specialties Day/evening 12-hour shifts from 6:40 AM to 7:10 PM with Monday-Friday variation Weekend shifts and weekend call responsibilities required Floating required as needed Requirements Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years BLS certification required CST certification preferred Completion of a Surgical Technologist program required Teaching hospital experience required Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred Experience with cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, TAVR, VAD, and valve replacement required Experience with vascular procedures such as AAA repair, EVAR, and TEVAR preferred Experience with thoracic procedures such as VATS, lung resection, and mediastinoscopy Experience with general surgery procedures such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy preferred License required if applicable Additional Information Support surgical teams across CVOR, general OR, thoracic, and transplant cases Assist with organ transplant procedures including heart, lung, kidney, and liver Complete a pass/fail telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for consideration; local candidates not accepted Located at a nationally ranked, Magnet-designated referral and teaching center
