1 Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a Level III Trauma Center OR requiring 2 years of general surgery experience with vascular case capability. Details Surgery Room unit within a Level III Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with Magnet designation 21-bed OR with 1:1 patient ratio Primarily general surgery cases including breast/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, GU, and GYN, with ability to perform all case types including vascular Robotic surgery (Xi) exposure but agency staff not typically trained unless strong background and longer contract commitment 8-hour day shift with variable start times between 0530-0700 No weekend rotation for day shift Floats within Main OR specialties and Urology center, no floating to other hospitals/sites On-call required with 30-minute response time on an 8-week rotating schedule Call includes EOS shifts, 2230-0700 slots, and 1-2 weekend call assignments per 8-week period Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris, and Pyxis systems Support on unit includes Charge Nurse, Team Leads, Supervisors, and Manager Requirements Minimum 2 years of core surgical technologist experience required, with most recent experience within the last year BLS certification required Active license required if applicable
