Position Overview:
As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a crucial role in monitoring patients' heart rhythms and ensuring their safety. Your expertise will contribute to the timely detection of cardiac events and the overall quality of care in our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret Implantable Loop Recorder (ILR) transmissions, identifying arrhythmias and clinically significant cardiac events. Communicate abnormal findings promptly to physicians and the clinical team to ensure timely patient care. Document rhythm interpretations and patient data accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate with clinical staff and schedulers to facilitate appropriate patient follow-up and care. Troubleshoot ILR monitoring equipment and support reliable remote cardiac monitoring.
Qualifications:
Certification:
as a Telemetry Technician or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and telemetry equipment. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations calmly.
Education:
High School Diploma and/or a combination of education and experience. Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia or EKG course from an accredited program is required.
Certification:
American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma and/or a combination of education and experience. Completion of a Basic EKG/Telemetry Interpretation course from an accredited program is required.
Experience:
Previous experience in cardiology.
Other:
Bilingual in English and Spanish .
