This is a benefited, part-time position (48 hours per pay period, every two weeks) working 12-hour night shifts on varied nights. Hours are generally 1830-0700. Rotating holidays and weekends required. Located at Scripps Centralized Services on Rehco Road. What you'll do: Responsibility for monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via telemetry equipment. Monitoring patients when transporting to and from procedures/units. Interpreting cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and reports changes to the RN. Ability to prioritize notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs. Identifying and maintaining integrity of the telemetry system and reports all malfunctions and needed adjustments. Responsibility for printing telemetry strips and documenting per unit standards. Responsibility for placing patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, change batteries, and set up leads. Performing clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard.
