Job Description
Documents and interprets patient's cardiac rhythms at regular intervals to identify dysrhythmias. This is evidenced by obtaining and interpreting baseline rhythm strip on each monitored patient. Measures and documents accurately the PR and QRS intervals on new & existing patients electronically. Communicates with registered nurse all arrhythmias and activates emergency notification system with any life-threatening rhythms. Provides a safe, clean and orderly environment; contributing to efficient departmental operations in order to control cost and ensure productivity. Communicates equipment malfunctions to the clinical engineering department, nurse manager or designee. Strong attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills in interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are required.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
:- Previous nursing assistant, monitor technician, emergency medical technician, or patient care technician experience.
