Telemetry Technician Springfield Clinic - 3.4 Springfield, IL Job Details Full-time $17.34 - $25.14 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Telemetry Technician is responsible for performing various duties including monitoring and maintaining systems that transmit and receive data, assisting with regular device checks, performing electrocardiograms (EKG) and other duties as assigned. Job Relationships Reports to the Operations Manager. Principal Responsibilities Perform electrocardiograms. Apply cardiac monitors. Assist with regular device checks. Perform adjustments to programming as per protocol or specific order. Download, interpret, and interrogate patient devices. Using independent judgement, report significant findings to the physician when appropriate. Prepare cardiac monitor notes. Answer the phone in a courteous manner. Receive and send faxes as needed. Access the computer to find results or answer questions. Keep work area clean, neat, and stocked. Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures. Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy. Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards. Perform other job duties as assigned. Education/Experience Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. National Telemetry Certification or Telemetry experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates Basic Life Support Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle competing demands. Must be able to perform on your feet for several hours at a time. PHI/Privacy Level HIPAA1
