We are seeking a telemetry technician to monitor our patients requiring telemetry, caring for a wide variety of patient diagnoses. Job responsibilities include interpreting and analyzing continuous telemetry monitoring for patients with cardiac problems, troubleshooting problems with monitor reception, ensuring proper lead placement, pick-up and delivery of monitors to each floor, and cleaning of the transmitters and cables after each patient's use. A telemetry certification is required unless you have previous telemetry experience. If you are new to the field, please check with the Career Institute for a schedule of classes at (318) 212-8080. An orientation will be provided based on your experience and level of comfort. Candidates with telemetry experience are preferred, but the inexperienced candidate that exhibits the willingness to learn and has an excellent past work history may be considered for the position.
