A Telemetry Technician operates EKG (electrocardiogram) equipment to monitor heart activity in a patient. Works closely with cardiologists to diagnose cardiovascular conditions and problems.
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the Birth Center while functioning as the focal communications source at the Birth Center nursing station. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists nursing staff with patient care. Provides assistance in the delivery room to nurses and physicians. Takes vital signs, feeds infants, gives newborn baths, changes bed linen and assists patients in ambulation as needed.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in medical terminology Knowledge of keyboard/computer BLS within 3 months of hire Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months
