Responsibilities + Basic patient care: help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating + Vital signs monitoring: take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation + Mobility assistance : help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices. + EKG lead maintenance: e nsure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning - though Patient Care Assistant's ( PCA 's) don't usually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off and immediately alert registered nurses +

Observation:

monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff Qualifications + Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required + Current BLS ( AHA ) upon hire and maintain current + Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology + Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred + Current Behavioral Violence Prevention ( BVP ) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
