Monitor Technician:
Responsibilities:
The Monitor Technician observes and analyzes the cardiac rhythm of patients on telemetry and hardwire monitor under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Monitor Technician must demonstrate competency in cardiac arrhythmia, accurate record keeping and logging. The Monitor Technician is responsible and accountable for following established policies and procedures and established standards.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High school or
GED. BLS
certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (within 30 days).
Preferred Job Requirements:
Previous experience.
