- Telemetry (KMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-21 Scheduled Weekly Hours 12 Work Shift Job Description Observe and examine the heart monitors of various patients and detecting and reporting on abnormalities and inconsistencies, such as irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.Additional Job Description Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year in a .6fte or greater Monitor Technician I position at MUSC or 1 year of Monitor Technician/Telemetry work experience in a health care facility and succeful completion of the EKG training/competency during the orientation period in order to remain in the Monitor Technician II position.Credentials:
Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
