Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Telemetry/IMU Monitor Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring patient cardiac rhythms and vital signs using advanced telemetry systems and inertial measurement units (IMUs). Your expertise will support accurate cardiac diagnostics, ensure patient safety, and facilitate seamless communication between clinical teams. Responsibilities Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythm data from telemetry monitors and IMUs to detect abnormal heart activity or arrhythmias. Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment including telemetry systems, echocardiography devices, vascular ultrasound imaging tools, and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems). Assist in the setup and calibration of diagnostic equipment used for cardiac stress tests, interventional radiology procedures, and other cardiovascular diagnostics. Maintain accurate documentation of vital signs, diagnostic evaluations, and rhythm analysis results in patient records while adhering to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with cardiology and emergency medicine teams to provide real-time data during critical procedures such as cath lab interventions or trauma responses. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and uphold high standards of aseptic technique during all monitoring activities. Support the clinical team by preparing patients for diagnostic procedures involving anatomy knowledge, sonography, or vascular imaging. Experience Previous experience working in a cath lab or Level I/II trauma center environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology procedures, and emergency medicine settings. Strong background in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm analysis, echocardiography, and cardiovascular technology. Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation processes, and the operation of specialized medical equipment. Experience with PACS systems for image management and interpretation is advantageous. Knowledge of physiology principles related to cardiovascular health and anatomy is essential. Prior exposure to Level II trauma center or emergency department settings will be considered a plus.
