Job Overview:

•We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Sonographer to join our imaging team as a PRN sonographer . The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing high-quality general ultrasound, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound examinations, while providing excellent patient care and maintaining a high standard of professionalism. The sonographer will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to obtain diagnostic-quality images and relevant clinical information for interpretation. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and department standards. Perform general ultrasound, including abdomen and small-parts examinations such as thyroid, breast, scrotal/testicular, soft tissue, and other applicable studies. Perform OB/GYN ultrasound, including first- and second/third-trimester examinations, pelvic, transabdominal, and transvaginal studies as appropriate. Perform vascular ultrasound, including venous and arterial Doppler studies and other vascular examinations within the department's scope. Obtain and document accurate measurements, Doppler waveforms, images, and relevant clinical information. Recognize and appropriately document abnormal sonographic findings and communicate urgent or concerning findings according to department policy. Ensure all examinations are completed according to established protocols and quality standards. Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients before, during, and after examinations. Maintain patient privacy, safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Properly operate, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment and report equipment concerns promptly. Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation in a timely manner. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Follow infection-control, safety, regulatory, and organizational policies. Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities as required. Qualifications Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program. Current registration appropriate to the position, such as ARDMS. Demonstrated competency in general ultrasound, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles, anatomy, pathology, and Doppler techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic studies. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 Year experience in a hospital, outpatient imaging center, or multi-specialty clinical setting. Multiple ARDMS credentials, such as Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB/GYN), Breast (BR) and Vascular Technology (VT). Experience with a variety of ultrasound equipment and electronic medical record/imaging systems. Experience working with a diverse patient population and handling a fast-paced clinical environment. Physical & Professional Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to safely assist with patient positioning and transfers as required. Ability to perform repetitive scanning movements while maintaining proper ergonomics. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a clinical environment.
