The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, primarily focusing on vascular assessments such as lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and carotid artery evaluations. This role involves working closely with physicians to provide accurate imaging that supports patient diagnosis and treatment planning. The Ultrasound Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services in a professional, patient-centered environment. Duties Perform general ultrasound procedures with a focus on vascular imaging, including assessments of lower extremity DVTs and carotid arteries. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging results. Operate ultrasound equipment accurately and efficiently to capture detailed images of vascular structures. Analyze images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and provide comprehensive reports. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging results in accordance with hospital protocols. Adhere to safety standards and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Keep up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and vascular imaging techniques through ongoing education. Requirements Certification as an Ultrasound Technician (ARDMS or equivalent preferred). Proven experience in general ultrasound with specific vascular imaging expertise, particularly in lower extremity DVTs and carotid evaluations. Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound principles. Excellent technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment and capturing high-quality images. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate approach to patient care with good communication skills. Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
