Job description: Santa Barbara Vascular Specialists is looking to hire a licensed Registered Vascular Technologist for its growing medical practice. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform Vascular Ultrasound exams on patients. Examinations including, but not limited to, upper and lower extremity arterial duplex, upper and lower venous duplex, aorto-iliac, renal, mesenteric, dialysis access evaluation and pre-operative/post-operative vein mapping. Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure proper exam is conducted Apply independent, professional, ethical judgement and critical thinking to safely perform ultrasound procedures. As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the referring provider. Identify and document any limitations to the ultrasound exam. Obtain patient history, explain standard procedure and address patient concerns Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Prepare reports which include test data and a written preliminary interpretation Perform related duties as assigned
