One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support. Utilizes the AIDET principle to communicate with others, with a focus on patients and their families. Acknowledge Introduce Explain Duration Thank Performs all routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. Assigns all patient charges appropriately. Records/reviews all techniques/procedures as required. Clearly marks all radiographs as to side location, position, patient ID, etc. Marks all CR images with correct markers. Transports patients safely. Demonstrates safe use of restraints. Job Requirements Required One year or more as a Sonographer One year or more as a Radiologic Technologist American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono Preferred Associates Of Science
