Job Description
Description In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while working alongside a collaborative and supportive healthcare team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages Asist with IAC accreditation. Create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families throughout their imaging experience Review patient histories, physician orders, and medical records to ensure accurate and efficient imaging exams Utilize advanced sonographic knowledge and critical thinking skills to identify anatomy, abnormalities, and pathology Independently produce high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate interpretation and patient diagnosis Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to provide excellent clinical care Maintain a strong commitment to service excellence, professionalism, and teamwork in every interaction Join a team that values clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care while offering the opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.- may be required to rotate between UCLA Hospitals
Salary Range:
$65.55- $79.93/Hourly Qualifications Staff Ultrasound Technologist At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience
- required RDMS credential in one specialty
- required Senior Ultrasound Technologist 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience
- required (Advancement into Senior job classification can be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health) RDMS credential in three specialties
- Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT
- required General Requirements BLS/CPR Certificate
- required Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program
- strongly preferred AAS or higher in Medical Sonography
- preferred Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
