JOB SUMMARY

The role of a registered diagnostic medical sonographer involves independently performing standard and complex ultrasound examinations and assisting physicians in the course of ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Experience:

Experience with General, OBGYN, abdominal, small parts and vascular ultrasounds. Breast and neonatal ultrasound experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

The sonographer must understand anatomy and basic pathology associated with exams being performed.

License/Certifications:

An individual who holds and maintains (via continuing education credits) current certification from the ARDMS, and has a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card.

Equipment:

The sonographer should be knowledgeable of the ultrasound equipment and ancillary accessories needed to perform basic and special procedures. Personal computer, RIS, HIS, and PACS.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$45.19 - $63.59 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
