Job Description
Registered Vascular Sonographer Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $52.21 - $72.52 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various hours per week

- Graduate of a CAAHEP- or CMA-accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program required.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), ARDMS required.
- Must be certified in BLS by end of 90 day conditional period
- RDMS Registry or registry eligible required.
- Prior clinical or hospital-based experience required.
- One year of experience in a vascular laboratory or clinical setting preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency across multiple vascular diagnostic procedures preferred. Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care, managing daily patient schedule and exam workflow.
- Performs US exams, using good judgement in scanning, understanding all anatomical measurements, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
- Assists the Radiologists and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
- Assists the Radiologists and physicians with US guided invasive procedures.
- Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
- Monitors and cleans US equipment, and reports equipment malfunction to biomed and the supervisor.
- Works toward the goal of quality assurance.
- Works "on-call" after hours.
- Handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately.
- Uses computer information system as required.
- Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional images or organs need to be scanned.
