2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and strong General and OB/GYN ultrasound skills for a 13-week acute care contract. Details Acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/Ultrasound department Department has 4 scanner rooms with no floating to other areas required Common studies include General, OB/GYN, Vascular, procedures, drains, and biopsies Average of 8-10 scans/studies per day, sometimes more Radiologist is in-house during regular hours, on-call after hours Uses Philips ultrasound equipment, Fuji PACS, and Epic EMR 4x10-hour day shifts with variable days, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM Call requirement of 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend Holiday coverage required as needed Requirements Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience Strong General and OB/GYN ultrasound experience required; Vascular experience preferred Experience performing procedures (drains, biopsies) required ARDMS certification required — RDMS (General or OB/GYN) required; RVT preferred; RDCS a bonus Current BLS (AHA) certification required Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; driver's license is used to verify permanent address 2 professional references required — one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound studies as well as procedural imaging including drains and biopsies In-house radiologist support available during regular hours Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency Any professional color scrubs are acceptable; scrubs are not provided Department-specific orientation provided; candidates must be on-site for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
