1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and RDMS certification in Abdomen and Breast. Details Acute care hospital setting within the Ultrasound department, Level 3 trauma center Department has 2 ultrasound scanners/rooms Performs general ultrasound studies including thyroid, abdomen, and pelvis imaging Serves all patient ages Average of 6-8 scans/studies per day Uses Epic EMR/PACS and Philips Epiq ultrasound equipment No float requirement to other departments 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM One weekend shift every other weekend Call requirements include one 12-hour call per week and one 24-hour call every other weekend Radiologist available in-house during the day and on-call 24/7 Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required BLS certification (AHA) required RDMS certification in Abdomen (RDMS-AB) via ARDMS required RDMS certification in Breast (RDMS-BR) via ARDMS required License required if applicable Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted Driver's license copy required for consideration Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Additional Information Performs general ultrasound imaging studies across a hospital that covers all areas and patient ages Does not require starting IVs Any professional colored scrubs permitted One week of orientation required; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if first-day modules are remote Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
