Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in OB/GYN sonography and be proficient in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient care. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, particularly in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. The Ultra sonographer will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results and provide high-quality care. Duties Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, focusing on maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn procedures. Utilize medical imaging equipment to capture high-quality sonographic images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images and identify abnormalities. Apply aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infection during procedures. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and provide instructions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans. Maintain accurate records of ultrasound examinations, including patient history, imaging results, and any relevant observations. Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and sonography practices to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to sonography, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology. Experience in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn is highly desirable. Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and understanding imaging techniques. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring comfort during examinations. Strong attention to detail for accurate image assessment and documentation.
