We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a part-time basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now! Your tasks and responsibilities as Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to: Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure Maintain statistical results for quality improvement Communicate effectively with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc. Qualifications A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions Benefits HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
