Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Vascular Ultrasound Technician on a travel assignment, where you will play a vital role in performing advanced vascular imaging procedures to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse clinical settings, utilizing your expertise in vascular ultrasound imaging, cardiac diagnostics, and interventional radiology. As a key member of the cardiovascular care team, you will deliver high-quality patient assessments while gaining invaluable experience in various hospital environments. Responsibilities Perform detailed vascular ultrasound imaging procedures, including Doppler studies, to evaluate blood flow and vessel integrity. Assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures by providing real-time ultrasound guidance. Conduct echocardiography and cardiac stress tests to assess heart function and diagnose cardiovascular conditions. Analyze cardiac rhythm data and vital signs to support comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostics. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques during invasive procedures to ensure patient safety. Operate sophisticated medical equipment such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval. Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic results accurately and efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in vascular ultrasound imaging, with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular technology. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization, telemetry monitoring, interventional radiology, and echocardiography procedures. Strong understanding of medical terminology, cardiac diagnostics, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Hands-on experience operating medical equipment used in cath labs, emergency medicine settings, or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred. Knowledge of PACS systems for image management and documentation. Ability to perform cardiac rhythm analysis and assess vital signs accurately under pressure. Certification or licensure as a Vascular Ultrasound Technician or equivalent credential is required; additional certifications in cardiology or interventional radiology are advantageous.
